Podsacs started out with chalkbags in 1982, and we're still making them today! A chalkbag may seem a rather insignificant piece of equipment but a few seconds saved chalking-up could mean the difference between success and failure on a strenuous route. If the rim of the bag isn't stiff enough to keep it open you're going to be wasting time and energy on every dip. So our bags use a plastic stiffener which springs back into a nice 'O' shape even after being crushed at the bottom of your rucksack for ages.And the ergonomically curved profile of our chalkbags also helps prevent the opening from sagging down.
