Accessory cord is commonly used in rock climbing for making prussik loops, taking on long traditional climbing routes as abseil tat, and re-slinging old pieces of hardware. Accessory cord can have a lot of uses but it is definitely not suitable for climbing on and should not be confused with a dynamic climbing rope.
