Designed to meet the expectations of long-distance trail runners looking for exceptional cushioning and a wider fit, the Jackal is built to tackle any off-road adventure. Exceptional cushioning is guaranteed by the innovative Infinitoo technology, absorbing the negative impact with the ground and guaranteeing a never seen before energy return. The lacing system sees the loops incorporated directly into the side panels of the uppers - which allows the volume of the shoe to adjust throughout your run as your foot swells. A soft elastic tongue moves with the foot, and internal bellows protect the foot from the ingression of stones and mud.
Both lightweight and highly durable, the mesh based upper keeps you cool and dry while the outsole with a dual density rock guard provides the ultimate underfoot security. A sole of La Sportiva's FriXion Red rubber is the perfect combination of grip, durability and shock absorption, and the lateral Impact Brake System lugs stabilise the foot over any terrain.

United KingdomI love these shoes, second pair, fitted with Enertor insoles. Best trail shoes I have yet had the pleasure of wearing, (I’ve trawled through many). Stable, cushioned, flexi & breathable uppers, super comfy midsoles, grippy as f**k, toe guard, lightweight rock plate, integrated tongue, simple lacing, they suit my current style of running, (Cornish coastal paths, creekside footpaths, woodland, granite moorland, trails, footpaths, some tarmac). Love the fact that the soles don’t abrade to death immediately on contact with tarmac like most trail running shoes. (Why are there not more hybrid shoes out there? Most of my trail runs involve at least some road, in the winters more so). Sizing is a bit off, get a size bigger at least, maybe even 1.5 sizes. I’m normally a 43 in most footwear but for these a 44.5 is perfect. The heel tabs have a habit of pulling off too, but maybe that’s my fault? All in all a great shoe. Love the colourways too, first pair was orange/black, now have the green/blue version. Yellow/black is also gorgeous. If you can dial in to the right size for you, I think you’ll love them!
