The La Sportiva Solution is a top-selling, high performance climbing shoe designed for hard boulder problems.
Synonymous with technical and performance bouldering, the heavily downturned La Sportiva Solution features a wrap-around fit and holds your foot in a talon-like position, making it ideal for steep climbing. Also surprisingly adept across a range of angles, the Solution sports a moulded 3D heel cup and the patented P3 Power Platform, which retains the downturned shape and creates a shoe that hooks, grabs, edges and smears on any feature you can find. The Lock Harness System surrounds your foot and unifies it with the upper for a perfect fit as the highly adjustable Fast Lacing System lets you tailor the quick closing hook and loop closure for a highly personalised fit.
Wrapped in sticky Vibram XS Grip rubber, when all is said and done, this shoe will let you climb harder.

The new shoe has a similiar feel to the last edition but feels slightly stiffer. The rubber on the top of the toe has been beefed up a bit for toe hooks. As a long time user of Solutions, these were good out the box. The webbing on the velcro strap has been made of a different more robust material, and I think the fastner is better placed.
I'm a 42 in street shoes and get these in a 39 for a good fit for the life of the shoe. I have used Solutions for years now and will continue for as long a they make them. For me these have the best toe box of any shoe and even though the heel is pretty solid and lacks sensitivity it still works on most hook even marginal ones once you get use to them. I can't recommend these enough if they fit your feet. AN ABSOLUTE CLASSIC!!!!
