The La Sportiva G2 SM is a super warm, hi-tech and ultra light mountaineering boot, suitable for use up to 7500m.
The winner of the ISPO (International Sporting Goods Trade Show) 'Product of the Year' award 2015/16, the La Sportiva G2 SM was designed in conjunction with internationally renowned alpinist Simone Moro. Phenomenally light with unparalleled fit and performance, the G2 is suitable for use up to 7500m yet weighs in at under 2kg a pair (size 42 and below).
Featuring a double boot construction and an integrated gaiter the G2 SM provides awesome levels of water resistance, warmth and durability. Quick drying materials allow for for prolonged use in the mountains, whilst the Dual Boa® Closure System supplies precision adjustability and secure foot hold.

Had a great time using these boots. No issues with water coming in, very happy.
The G2 SM proved to be the perfect shoe. Challeging conditions, -20C, wind, hard ice. To BC long day on gletchers (9/10h) using crampons, easy going feet keep movememt not constrained by straps. BC to HC same. Especially the easy system to put the double shoes on and off is a huge advantage! Another one is the integrated gaitor. The finetuning 1mm is 1click makes it highly adaptable during the tour. Summiting included snow, ice and rock. In the steep icepart the stiffness is suberb. At the same time shape, weight and sole makes it as if you go on your D boots. Conluding suberb shoe, very glad I choose this brand/type.
These shoes are simply incredible. The only reason I don't give it full mark is I had a hot spot (left foot just below ankle) and strangely my friend with the same boots also had that hot spot too. The other one is some of the sewing at the back of my calf was rubbing on my calf.
10/10 Standing around in -25 The boots lived up to there expectations The quickness of putting the boots on in cold conditions with wire system was very important and also being able to take the boot off with crampons still attached was great when getting back to the car to dive in quick and warm up. Would highly recommend these boots.
