Exped SynMat HL Winter LW

The Exped SynMat HL Winter LW is a super lightweight, 4-season sleeping mat which offers the warmth ratings of some of the lighter down mats on the market.

The tapered design, microfibre insulation, 20 denier fabric and 9cm thickness of the Exped SynMat HL Winter LW, create a balance of features which put a smile on the face of even the most weight and bulk conscious winter campers. Designed to be the lightest 4-season sleeping mat on the planet, it also offers the warmth needed for cold sleepers in spring and summer conditions and packs down to an extremely small size, with its tapered profile fitting into the smallest of tents.

Most Synthetic Mats usually do not reach the insulating properties of Down filled Mats. However, with an R value of 5 and a warmth rating of -18°C, Exped have built the Winter Synmat series to compete with the warmth ratings of some of the lighter down mats out there. They come at a lower price point as synthetic fibre is cheaper in cost than the goose down found in the DownMats. The weight to warmth ratio is far superior to standard foam filled camping mats.

This mat offers Next-to-skin comfort and anti-slip GripSkin honeycomb-pattern coating. Laminate is air tight and impervious to hydrolysis. Another great option for 4 season use in all but the harshest environments.

Features

• The dual purpose durable flat valve with one-way flap ensures swift inflation with the Schnozzel Pumpsack. Quick pin insertion for deflation.
• The synthetic microfibre filling is laminated to both upper and lower sides of the mat which eliminates the loss of loft common to synthetic filled sleeping bags. Baffles welded between the microfibre filled air chambers eliminate cold spots and create a thick, comfortable, and stable air cushion.
• Laminated polyester fabric is both durable, airtight and humidity resistant. The shell‘s top surface is of brushed polyester fabric that provides excellent slip resistance and comfort next to the skin. 
• Air cells on the sides are thicker and give the mat a cradle shape that prevents you from rolling off the mat.
• Ingenious tapered shape allows 2 mats to be placed next to each other in the smallest of tents, if they are placed head to foot.
