Exped SynMat UL Winter M

The Exped SynMat UL Winter M is an ultralight and super compact, 4 season sleeping mat that offers exceptional warmth and comfort.

Most Synthetic Mats usually do not reach the insulating properties of Down filled Mats. However, with an R value of 5 and a warmth rating of -18°C, Exped have built the Exped SynMat UL Winter M to compete with the warmth ratings of some of the lighter down mats out there. It comes in at a lower price point as synthetic fibre is cheaper in cost than the goose down found in DownMats. The weight to warmth ratio is far superior to standard foam filled camping mats.

This mat offers Next-to-skin comfort and anti-slip GripSkin honeycomb-pattern coating. Laminate is air tight and impervious to hydrolysis. Another great option for 4 season use in all but the harshest environments.

Features

• Separate flat valves for inflation and deflation simplify handling. These are also more durable and protected from damage as they are flat in design and non protruding.
• The Schnozzel Pumpsack ensures swift inflation.
• The synthetic microfibre filling is laminated to both upper and lower sides of the mat which eliminates the loss of loft common to synthetic filled sleeping bags. Baffles welded between the microfibre filled air chambers eliminate cold spots and create a thick, comfortable, and stable air cushion.
• Laminated polyester fabric is both durable, airtight and humidity resistant. The shell‘s top surface is of brushed polyester fabric that provides excellent slip resistance and comfort next to the skin. 
• Air cells on the sides are thicker and give the mat a cradle shape that prevents you from rolling off the mat.
