La Sportiva Hyper GTX

The La Sportiva Hyper GTX Men's approach shoe is made from leather and features a waterproof Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort lining designed for use in moderate and warmer conditions, or for higher activity levels.

Taking inspiration from climbing shoe technology, the Hyper GTX features an all-round lacing system that fully wraps around the foot, providing a very snug fit. Other features taken from climbing shoe designs include a smooth area on the sole at the toe to create a climbing zone and a protective rubber toe cap.

Other features of note are the "Rock Guard" wedge of EVA in the midsole for impact protection combined with shock absorbing cushioning in the heel and extra support in the ankle to avoid torsion. The sole is made of sticky Vibram with the often seen Impact Brake System to assist with traction whilst retaining good shock absorption properties.

Overall a great approach shoe from La Sportiva and is well worth trying if you are after a particularly close and technical fitting approach shoe which will stand up to most terrain and weather conditions.
