La Sportiva TX Guide Leather

Colour: Clay Kale
Clay Kale
Size: EU 41.5

A alternative take on the hugely popular La Sportiva TX Guide, the TX Guide Leather brings the comfort, durability, and the bespoke fit properties of leather to the TX Guide shoe.

Featuring a predominately split leather upper to give adaptability to your foot shape, along with areas of Nubuck leather to provide extra abrasion resistance, the TX Guide Leather is sure to see you through any crag approach.

Thanks to the elasticity of the leather, the TX Guide Leather (after bedding in) provides a bespoke fit. Whilst its asymmetrical lacing, anti-rub loops, and overlap tongue give all the protection and support needed when spending extended periods in the hills. Its protective edge is inspired by classic climbing shoes; and is constructed with lightweight PU-Tech Lite material whilst its sole and midsole are made of double EVA, with shock-absorbing compression in specific areas such as the heel and forefoot. Keeping you connected to the trail is the astonishing dual compound Vibram MegaGrip and Idrogrip sole, this provides the perfect combination of grip and durability whilst its pronounced heel helps you brake downhill and gives greater grip when climbing.

An absolute must if your planning to be out in the hills this Summer, the TX Guide Leather is the epitome of an approach shoe.

A fantastic approach shoe, quite a tight fit and the stitched tongue takes a while to get used too.

      No use for UK

Had high hopes for these. Unfortunately within 20mins of the 1st use I had wet feet. One of the few dry weather days, but the cold start meant dew in the grass which soaked straight through them. Not what I would expect from an approach/ scrambling shoe. As a result they get used as a very expensive shoe for going to the shops.

      TX Guide leather review

Spent last year or so wearing TX2 and very impressed but always getting damp feet. Reviews stated the Guide leather was a narrow last but these are no different to TX2. Found really comfy from start and with wider feet just loosened the laces around toe box that extends virtually to the front of the shoe. Not getting wet feet and though not the sticky soles these are really good, solid shoes that should last well. Good shoes.
