La Sportiva Akyra (Ocean/Flame)

The La Sportiva Akyra is a structured and protective trail running shoe, ideal for endurance routes such as Ultra Trails and Ultra Marathons.

Snug fitting, comfortable and protective, the La Sportiva Akyra uses a tight fitting upper that's structured in 3 layers, for extended use on off-road terrain. The MicroLite Skeleton provides seamless construction, flexibility and structure and follows the movement of the foot in a dynamic way while running. The Flex-Guard guarantees a lightweight boot but at the same time provides protection against possible abrasions running between rocks and roots. Finally the TrailCage System that is placed between the two layers of the uppers and provides structure and stability, and a snug fit integrating with the lacing system.

The outsole uses the FriXion XT tread with Impact Brake System, and the exclusive Trail Rocker technology that promotes natural “outer heel, inner toe” support of the foot when running. The overall shoe design was inspired by 3 sides of a perfect geometry: the origami. Shock absorption, protection and comfort. With Akyra racing is an art.
