The Mountain Hardwear Laminina Z Torch 0°/-17° (fahrenheit/celsius) is an extremely warm, affordable and water-repellent synthetic sleeping bag, which utilises Mountain Hardwear's unique Lamina construction for impressive warmth to weight ratios. This bag is a women's specific cut and design; with a shorter length and wider girth around the hips.

This synthetic sleeping bag uses Thermal.Q insulation, which is both compressible and durable. Welded Lamina construction enhances loft and eliminates cold spots. The comfort mummy fit of this 0°/17° rated bag offers room to move while remaining thermally efficient. It also features a draft collar and MHW's exclusive welded Lamina™ construction that maximises loft and eliminates cold spots caused by traditional stitching. Soft polyester lining wicks away moisture and lightweight nylon shell repels water. Full-length zipper has double sliders for ventilation.

What is Lamina Technology?
Maximising and maintaining loft is the true measure of synthetic sleeping bag design. Over time, all synthetic bags gradually lose loft due to stuff sack compression and general wear and tear. Designing a synthetic sleeping bag that would retain loft – and warmth – over the long haul became Mountain Hardwear's engineering challenge, and their welded Lamina construction was born.

Why Weld?
Welding stabilises fill without sewing through the bag and pinching the insulation, thereby maximising warmth and loft. Offset welds on the top and bottom of the bag increase fill stability.

Stuff bag broke immediately :(

It's a really amazing sleeping bag in itself. But the stuff bag broke almost immediately, as I walked out of my house! All of the stitching on one of the ties somehow burst off at the same time, making it super difficult to carry at a time when I couldn't do anything about it. But hopefully this is just a one-off manufacturing error because the bag itself is brilliant!

Bought for trekking to Everest base camp, was half price in the sale. Is on the slightly larger side but kept me really warm throughout so well worth the little bit extra weight!

Mountain Hardwear Women’s Lamina Z Torch

Great warmth never had a sleeping bag so warm. Slept out near the summit of Scafell in March and was absolutely boiling in this bag! Only downside is it’s slightly small in length for me and I’m 171-172cm. Get extra length if you are near upper limit for user
