Lowland Outcrops (SMC)

The Lowland Outcrops guidebook covers an area from Trossachs to Fife, to Berwickshire Coast to Mull of Galloway. It includes all the Trossachs sports climbs and bouldering, and all the developments at Dumbarton, including trad, sport and bouldering (including Scotland's first F8c, Dave MacLeod's recently completed route, Devastation Generation at Dumbuck).

The region includes extensive sea-cliffs, urban quarries, mountain crags, and the hardest sport climbs and bouldering in Scotland on a variety of rock types, including granite, mica schist, dolerite, and greywacke.

It also covers the massive development on Galloway Hills and Galloway sea-cliffs. The number of winter routes, mainly in the Galloway Hills but Moffat Hills too, means the title is officially Lowland Outcrops Rock and Ice Climbs. Lots of low and middle grade development on new crags in East Lothian has been included too, and lots of high end development in Thorntons and Fourth quarries Cambusbarron.

Plus all the classic crags - Traprain, North Berwick Law, Hawkcraig, Auchinstarry, Loudoun Hill etc
