The Garmont Mountain Guide Pro GTX was developed for Alpine Guides and general alpinism and mixed climbing worldwide. This fully stiffened crampon compatible mountaineering boot provides a superb fit, technical attributes and protection from the elements. Perfect for all British winter mountaineering exploits as well as most mixed mountaineering endeavours further afield (below 5000m).
Extremely rigid and supportive for use with almost any crampon, whilst still offering enough of a rocker to walk comfortably. Gore-Tex® Insulated Comfort plus Garmont’s carbon-fibre insole construction create a well insulated interior for your feet. Additional comfort is provided by the PU heel area shock absorber and the microporous rubber on the arch and ball area of the foot.
A one-piece 3mm Perwanger® leather upper minimises seams and thus provides better durability and weather protection. The 360° rubber rand enhances abrasion resistance and a slick, lockable lacing system allows precise tensioning and hold. The fit of the heel is second to non, locking the foot in place and minimising heel slip and blisters. A padded stretch fabric collar and tongue offer a snug and comfortable fit for a great combination of support and debris protection. Finally, a thermal footbed with PrimaLoft® 200g insulation completes this fabulous boot.
Vibram® Titus outsole with textured semi-blocked heel strike and toe area for enhanced grip on hard surfaces. Extra textured deep lugs for better grip on different grounds and abrasion resistance. Multidirectional lugs in the centre provide 360° traction. Deep, wide channels help with drainage and self-cleaning. Concave heel face enhances braking effect during descent.
