Scarpa Maestro Pro Womens

Colour: Green/Blue
Size: EU 34.5

The Maestro Pro Women's takes the ever popular Maestro with an addition of two rubber patches running alongside the laces. This provides extra protection to the shoe and your foot when climbing, particularly in deep cracks.

Other than this difference the Scarpa Maestro Womens is still an ultimate, low volume climbing shoe for all day comfort and high performance on multi-pitch and big wall climbing outings.

The female specific model incorporates a lower volume fit at the heel and the toe box and will suit anyone with narrower feet. With the ability to stand on small edges but with enough flex for smearing, the Scarpa Maestro has many refined layers of technology. The versatile and revolutionary last offers a straight and slightly downturned shape with a medium-to-low angled toe box, allowing it to be fitted to either a semi knuckled-up or flatter toe position, depending on what you're after. The intricately stitched Leather upper has air holes for long term wear and comfort, and a full-length plastic insert gives integral support to the foot whilst under pressure on small holds. This also maintains flex for smearing as the combination lace system spreads pressure evenly across the forefoot.

Finally, a female shoe that excels on long trad and multi-pitch sport climbs of all styles and angles. The Maestro Womens will definitely be the pair you pack for a big wall outing.

Editor's Note: Although the following was written for the standard women's model without the additional rubber, the review is still of interest.

What the Rock+Run Team Say

Editor's Note: The following was written for the men's model, though still remains relevant to the women's model.

"It’s a bit of a cliche but this really is the ‘do it all’ technical shoe for trad, sport and bouldering.  A moderate toe down last with a relatively stiff midsole means they perform well on edgy rock and pockets while the wrap-over toe excels in cracks. If there is a down side, it may be low angle slabs depending on how you fit the shoe although the ability to full-on smear improves with wear and your choice of fit; tight or relaxed." - Andy
