Shoe Conversion Size Chart

The Boreal Lynx is a fabulous all-round, versatile climbing shoe that gives great adaptability across the climbing disciplines.

Developed to provide performance, comfort, sensitivity and a good firm edge via an asymmetric and moderately downturned profile, the Lynx is constructed from an unlined, pre-stretched split leather upper, bolstered via a banded nylon tape speed lacing system and slingshot rubber randing. There is an integrated padded mesh tongue for comfort and tailored fit thanks to the 2-way tension 'V2 Rand'.

A relatively high volume fit with a marginal toe-down feel gives good support and performance throughout the length of the climbing shoe, making it great on everything from edgy face climbs to steep roofs and even (when worn in) tenuous slabs. The V2 Rand system also supplies a superb close fitting heel.

This versatile shoe offers brilliant levels of all-round performance and gives great adaptability across the climbing disciplines. It will also perform well as an all-day long routing shoe if sized accordingly- i.e. slightly bigger.

Great pair of shoes

I was pleased with the overall service from rock and run. the shoes arrived when the said. The shoes themselves have been great. I was a little sceptical at first due to the pain of getting my feet in them. but after a few days of wearing them the shoes stretched and i can comfortably wear them for a few hours now. They have given me much more confidence in my footwork and that they will stick.

Slight disappointment

I must admit I am quite disappointed. I have been buying the Boreal Lynx for a while now and this recent pair was my first purchase of the updated model. Normally I would get about 6-8 months worth of climbing before I saw any wear and tear (indoor 3-4 hours a week) but with this latest purchase the rubber has already split on the toe after 3-4 months. (Maybe this is acceptable and I've been lucky previously) I'll probably continue to purchase Boreal Lynx as the fit is the best I've had. I hope I was just unlucky with this pair.

***** .B

very confable climbing boot could wear all day , saying that the rubber hardly seems sticky. The colder the weather the worse the boots feel, took them on an E7 slab worked well on thin edges. went trading recently was a bit of a damp cold day ,Raven Langdale , they failed to give me any confidence, actually scared the **** out of me soloing later the same day, and have preformed exactly the same many other times, mainly been bouldering with them. think I will save them for sport in Spain, got some more money ,brought some 5,10s now, they might fall apart in 4-5 months but ****, they stick to out !

Solid pair of shoes but tight

I really like these shoes, but be careful when choosing your size. I know climbing shoes are meant to be tight but be careful when sizing these. Using the Rock and Run size guide, I got a size 7.5, I usually wear 8.5 trainers. 7.5 is super tight. I probably should have bought half a size up but as I could just squeeze in I decided to keep them and wear them in. At first wearing them for 20mins was too much but I've had them about a year now and using them regularly I can wear them for a couple of hours at a time with no more complaint than any other climbing shoe. I'd highly recommend these to beginner or intermediate.

The sizes come up very

The sizes come up very small so a note on the website page about that would save carriage backwards and forwards for both of us. I've just worn out a pair of Scarpa size 6 1/2 but there was no way I was going to get into the Boreal size 7 . Apart from that, the service is fine.
