Having just started climbing at my local indoor centre as a way to get fit and not playing bloomin football, i was using a borrowed pair of shoes. Buying these has helped my technique enormously. They are a little stiffer than the 'slippers' i was using but they have enabled me to succeed where before i was failing. The Velcro is easier to do in a hurry as the hook and loop are the whole of one side. I like the point of the toe too as i feel i have big feet and the firm toe allows me to balance on smaller holds. It'll just be a question of my technique and confidence holding me back.
