Sorry, this product is out of stock. We can notify you when this product is available:

The Cumulus Quilt 450 is a modern, universal sleeping solution for spring and autumn camping trips, it's also ideal for camper vans.

During warmer nights it can be used as regular bedding, enough for two people, or it can be fixed to the mattress, attaching it along the bottom edge using the zipper and welt. The Quilt's open design ensures that the insulation properties of the down are utilised to their fullest, without restricting movement, making it an ideal solution for those who dislike confined spaces.

Designed and built in Poland, Cumulus draw on 30 years of experience and know-how in down and textile manufacture to provide some of THE best sleeping bags on the market. At the vanguard of sleeping bag construction techniques and design innovation, Cumulus offer as many as five methods of chamber construction, each developed to offer its own unique benefits [Cumulus Down Sleeping Bag Construction article]. All bags use sustainably sourced Polish goose or duck down, high-grade face and liner fabrics from Pertex, YKK zippers and, unlike most other sleeping bag brands, are entirely constructed in the EU.

Cumulus clothing and sleeping bags hold the EDFA (European Down and Feather Association) certificate for ethical down sourcing.

Temperature ratings are used to indicate a bags performance and help you decide between models. However, they are subjective and can be greatly affected by factors such as what you're happy to wear (clothing wise) in conjunction with the bag, your health and metabolism, how much you have had to eat or drink, humidity and altitude, the type of shelter used and whether you are using a suitable insulating mat.

As a guide, the "Comfort" rating indicates the range at which a woman gets a comfortable night’s sleep, the "Limit of Comfort" rating indicates the range at which a man gets a comfortable night’s sleep and the "Extreme" rating indicates a range at which a woman is protected from hypothermia. The Extreme rating is basically a survival rating and it is not advisable to rely on this for general use.

    Great versatility

Used this a couple of times now and have to say I think I am a quilt convert. Needed a spare sleeping bag and thought I would try this quilt instead of the standard bag. I had been doing some reading and YouTubing on quilts and recent increase in quilt use vs a sleeping bag. I have a hammock tent and thought this might also work as an under quilt although not tried it yet. Cumulus also do hammock specific hammock under quilts. It is rated to -7 so wasn’t sure on recent camping trips and the warm weather we have been having, it might be too warm. I used this in conjunction with an Exped synthetic mat. Had no problems with it being too warm as I would not cinch the foot box and not clip the top part. I really like the foot box baffle, if you cinch the footbox the baffle totally seals it. Big enough to cover two people fully opened. The kids also love using it on camping trips and have been trying to swap their sleeping bags for my quilt... No Chance!! If you have not tried a quilt I would definitely recommend the cumulus quilts. The advantage of the quilt is you get a down sleeping system which is cheaper, lighter and more versatile than a classic down sleeping bag. As usual you can beat the rock run price anywhere else and customer service is excellent. This website is my go to place for climbing and camping equipment.
