Sorry, this product is out of stock. We can notify you when this product is available:

The Deuter Freerider Pro has all the features and flexible capacity you need for multi-day winter adventures in the mountains. This latest incarnation of the Freerider Pro has a new roll-top closure. This allows you to expand the capacity of the pack by 10 litres. The roll-top itself is also fitted with a stowable strap for the attachment of extra kit or a climbing rope, or to compress the roll-top itself. At times during the day when you don’t need your skis, snowshoes or snowboard, they can be attached to the outside of the pack quickly and easily using two dedicated gear straps; skis can be affixed diagonally across the back or in an A-frame, a snowboard or snowshoes in an upright position. These versatile gear straps can also be used for compression.

On top of all this, when you stop for a break, you don’t have to unstrap your equipment. Because you can access the main compartment via the rear opening that opens out fully for better contents location. Our new hard-wearing, breathable, snow-resistant fabric also ensures both the carry system and your back remain dry.

Very neat bag with one compromise

Agree with the other review - the skin and snowtool pockets don’t have any of their own space so actually makes the main bag space very narrow. My old bag, the snowtool pocket sort of had its own space so it was additional to the main compartment and easier to pack. However apart from that drawback I have kept the pack as it fits very well and is nice and secure and close in against my bag. I guess the compact slim profile is why the snow tool pocket has the compromises. I can JUST get my iPhone into the job pocket. Love the clamshell access at the back. Love the extra 10l in the roll top. Overall I think the snowtool/skin space compromise is worth it.

Pack that doesn’t pack great

Overall my experience has been decent with this pack. The hip belt pocket is too small to be truly useful. I think it could be a great pack if the organizing pockets were rethought. Goggle and top pocket is too small and even though all the accessories pockets are in different compartments, they mostly occupy the same space, which makes packing any larger items awkward and frustrating at times. The pack is comfortable, carries very well, and doesn’t shift too much while while skiing.

Great bag

Using this as a camera bag. It’s great and really comfortable.
