DMM's refined versions of the excellent old HB offsets. These climbing nuts have softer edges and a double transverse taper (like the bow of a ship). Excellent in pin scars and flares, where the double taper resists rotating or rocking. Each face is slightly concave which gives more "bite" to the placement. Add them to your climbing rack for a boost in strength in the small sizes (compared to other aluminum nuts).

A very useful refinement to these latest incarnations is the addition of an aluminium swage, or keeper which holds the wires parallel but allows one wire to slide. The result means that the nut is loaded more evenly on both sides making the placement more secure.

Scarily small

I've only placed the larger end of the set. They're right to say "when NOTHING else will fit" as they don't look big enough, but maybe I'm just a wimp. Some of the soldering looks a bit variable - I guess they're soldered by hand though.

Fits Where Nothing Else Will

Having owned a set of these nuts for over a year now I can entirely see why there was so much enthusiasm for their return to production. They tend to offer decent placements where no other protection will go. The strength ratings are also impressive for t
