The Edelrid Micro Jul is a compact, ultra-light assisted belay device, designed for use with seriously skinny half ropes and twin ropes.
Similar in functionality and design to the Mega Jul, but designed to handle seriously thin ropes, the Micro Jul has a two rope capacity, really low weight, and a guide mode option that will make it of most interest to trad and alpine climbers. It is the only suitable device for use with the Flycatcher 6.9 mm climbing rope. The auto locking function which both reduces the chance of a belayer dropping a leader in the event of a fall, will be of great appeal to those on mixed routes too.
Because the Micro Jul offers a number of different and unique features, it is well worth watching the product video which gives a pretty comprehensive run-down of the different operations.
