Five Ten Dragon

Shoe Conversion Size Chart

The world famous Five Ten Dragon climbing shoe. With its radically down-turned toe, the Dragon is the darling of steep-climbing troglodytes everywhere.

Replacing hook-and-loop closure with laces secures the foot for maximum power through the toe and in heel-hooking. Perforated rand rubber gives the Dragon climbing shoe a sock like fit. Stealth HF rubber on the outsole is the perfect combination of power and friction for steep climbing. This shoe has helped scores of elite level climbers reach their goals!

Compared to the newer additions to the Five Ten toe-down range, such as the Blackwing and Arrowhead, the Dragon is a fairly stiff beast, and once broken in provides truly awesome levels of toe grabbing power.

Great Bouldering Shoes

The Dragon is a great shoe that excels at Bouldering and sport climbing. Fit is tight but does stretch enough to comfort, so size accordingly.

Excellent Service

Rockrun shipment and service is excellent. Very happy with Dragons as well. Although the previous version of Dragons had better rubber on them, it is still one of my favourite shoes together with Fiveten Hiangle and La Sportiva solutions. Thank you Rockrun for the excellent service.

Great for my feet...

I feel like the most important aspect in choosing a climbing shoe is how well it fits your shape of foot. Usually, certain brands will fit better than others and I definitely seem to have a 'Five Ten' foot. The shape feels very similar to the Five Ten Team, although I found these (in exact same size) fitted my feet more comfortably more immediately - maybe because they are laced. Really comfortable, great edge and the heel fits me perfectly (which is always the sticking point for me with a pair of climbing shoes). The rubber is very sticky, too! Also, it has thicker rubber than the Team (which I was disappointed by how quickly I got holes in the toes of).

My second pair of dragons. I loved my first pair, but have since discovered that for me these are more suited to high end bouldering, rather than sport climbing. The Tenaya Iati has replaced the dragon as my go-to performance sport shoe, and I couldn't be more satisfied with making the switch. That being said, I would definitely go for the dragons on any boulder problem with a steep gradient.

Great shoe, and great service

Great shoe, and great service from Rock+Run! The Dragon is a legendary shoe, and for my narrow feet the toe is unbeatable. The heal is baggy and strangely designed, so I usually change shoes if I'm doing a boulder which requires a technical heel-hook.
