The Grivel G1+ is a lightweight ice axe for classical mountaineering made from a one-piece hot-forged head.
The G1+ is a classically shaped ice axe for steep winter walking, glacier traversals and self arrests with a straight aluminium shaft and one-piece hot-forged steel head with an adze. The + version of the G1 comes with a textured rubber handle for increased handling ability and feel, especially when wearing gloves. Coming with a Single Spring Leash and Rotor Krab, the G1+ can be used more effectively and tethered to your person in an easier to use, more ergonomic way than a standard leash.
