The Grivel Ran Light Anti Slip are lighter weight versions of the original Ran micro-spikes that you slip on over your footwear to provide traction.
Designed to provide traction on non-technical snow and ice trails, or when hiking on muddy terrain, the Ran Light Anti Slip spikes can be used with any type of footwear. Super lightweight and mega compact, this even lighter version of the Ran is ideal for winter walkers and anyone else out on snow covered or icy terrain as they can be shoved in a backpack without taking up valuable space/weight. There's no need for any tools with these bad boys as they just slip over your boots. They can adapt easily to almost any footwear with the Velcro band that will ensure a good fit. Plus they come with a bag.
Please note: The Ran Light is an anti slip device and is NOT a crampon for alpinism. They are not PPE. The size chart below is designed as a very rough guide for normal walking footwear, if you're planning to use these on mountain boots or similar please get the next size up.
Type: Crampons

Great piece of kit. Very useful when walking on Snowdon in November 2019 with snow over 800m. Worked really well in the snow and in the wet conditions lower down. Quick delivery. Would recommend as a light use crampon.
Easy to slip on over approach shoes or light walking boots. Without attempting to emulate Rosa Klebb (and risk spiking the hiker in front), these give grip on icy paths with an unpredictable slope (and possible fifty-foot drop off the side). Boot spikes from an established name.
