Located in Spain, two hours east of Madrid in the Sierra de Gredos in western Spain. This bouldering area lies at an elevation of 2,200 meters in a glacial valley. The compact granite blocks provide boulders and lines of different levels. Thus, they are appropriate for every kind of climber and boulderer: beginners and sophisticated climbers. The best time of the year to climb one of around 1,000 boulder problems divided into 14 sectors, is spring and autumn. You cannot climb in winter because the blocks are covered in snow; however, in summer it is possible to climb due to the high elevation of the boulder area.
Since the area is situated in a unique natural environment, it has been declared UNESCO world heritage. The conservation and respect of nature should be every climber?s duty. Abide the present rules, to conserve the area and the blocks for climbing.
