Guia De Escalada En Mexico - The Mexican Rock Climbing Guide Book (Center-South)
Split over two volumes, the Mexican Rock Climbing guides are the first major guidebooks to cover rock climbing in Mexico. Despite its relatively underdeveloped status, there is already a wealth of rock climbing in Mexico. Its varied geography has thus far born 43 areas in the North and 86 in the South, providing a vast variety of rock and climbing styles. Even at this relatively early stage of development there is too much for one guide; thus the areas and crags have been split into two volumes. This guide covers the climbing in the Central and Southern part of the country, and describes 86 different climbing areas.
Text is Spanish and English, with a mix of photo and diagram topos. Whilst some of the graphics and images are a bit grainy or basic, these books are undoubtably a useful asset to the climbing community and more specifically the foreign climber looking for a new challenge.
The guide covers; sport climbing, trad climbing and some bouldering.
Areas Covered: Aguascalientes, Chiapas, Distrito Federal, Estado De Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacan, Morelos, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Puebla, Queretaro, Quintana Roo, Verecruz.
