The Mountain Hardwear Lamina -15°F Long is an extremely warm, affordable and water-repellent synthetic sleeping bag, perfect for expedition conditions.
Utilising Mountain Hardwear's unique Lamina construction for impressive warmth to weight ratios, the Lamina -15°F/-26ºC Long is an excellent synthetic, water-repellant, expedition sleeping bag offering. Designed for use in freezing cold expedition temperatures, through using the Thermal.Q® insulation the bag is both water resistant, compressible and durable and the Welded Lamina™ construction offers enhanced loft whilst eliminating cold spots. The soft polyester lining wicks away moisture and the lightweight nylon shell repels water. A full-length durable, anti-snag zipper has double sliders for ventilation.
This long version is an extra 4 inches longer than the standard regular size.
What is Lamina Technology? Maximising and maintaining loft is the true measure of synthetic sleeping bag design. Over time, all synthetic bags gradually lose loft due to stuff sack compression and general wear and tear. Designing a synthetic sleeping bag that would retain loft – and warmth – over the long haul became Mountain Hardwear's engineering challenge, and their welded Lamina construction was born.
Why Weld? Welding stabilises fill without sewing through the bag and pinching the insulation, thereby maximising warmth and loft. Offset welds on the top and bottom of the bag increase fill stability.
