Not cheap, but it works great and I love it!

My hands have been getting progressively worse over recent years to the point that, unless my torso is unpleasantly overheating, then my hands are painfully cold (liner gloves plus down gauntlets when others may barely need gloves - and unable to use poles as that means hands don't move enough to keep warm). I have started taking a rechargeable hand warmer, but these are too bulky for poles or axe. So, these gloves seemed a perfect solution for me. Yet to wear in the mountains (maybe we will have a weekend without a named storm before winter ends) but have been wearing them for my 4 mile walk to work at around freezing (damp and windy). This normally required 2 pairs of gloves and still leads to painful fingers, so it seems an ideal test run....and...they are ok. I can feel a faint warmth at the max setting and it is true that the medium setting is enough to avoid losing feeling in my fingers...but I expected so much more! I thought it would be lovely and toasty, like a hot pad, rather than barely noticeable. Now, at sale price, I suppose being able to walk to work without pain is probably good value...but I had expected so much more considering the normal full price of these gloves. If the medium setting gives 5 hrs battery life and a very faint background warmth, then I can't see these being of much benefit for a long brutal winter day.

    Toasty warm!

Excellent. Used for skiing and when I’ve finished open water skiing. The three settings a vital to warm my hands slowly. The warm from your tips of your fingers up to you hand. I suffer from Raynauds and these glove are just marvellous

    Good, not great

I am mostly glad I got these gloves, but like the gloves, my feelings towards them are luke warm. I took them skiing in January and the conditions were not too bad - around 5C most days - and found that the effect of the heater was noticeable but not outstanding. Given the high level of dexterity the gloves afford I was pleased to still have warm hands but overall I can't quite decide if it was worth the high cost. The battery is OK; I turned the gloves on whenever my hands started to get cold and back off again when I could. They usually ran out of batteries at about 3 or 4pm which is acceptable for skiing. The total life of the battery I would estimate at around 2-3 hours. I think what would make these worth the money would be an extra battery. Then you could take a spare with you and change half way through the day, and use them a lot more. As always, service from R+R was excellent.

    Your service was fine, but

Your service was fine, but I will be returning the gloves as they only seem to heat the part of my hand that doesn't get cold and they don't seem to heat the smaller fingers, which do!

Hi Jon, Sorry to hear that your goods weren't what you had hoped for. Please return them to us so we can check that there is not fault with the gloves and we will sort you out with an exchange or refund. Hope this helps.
