The Petzl Bug Bag is a technical day pack with features designed specifically for multi-pitch, and long climbing routes.

Its rounded rectangular shape maximises volume and comfort and minimises interference while in use. It also makes a great bouldering rucksack. The volume of the BUG Bag is ideal for carrying gear on the approach and when climbing (hydration system, guidebook/topo, clothing, shoes, etc).

The minimal bulk, shoulder straps allowing freedom of arm movement, comfortable and ventilated back panel, foldaway waistbelt, high positioning that allows for access to the back of harness (for reaching into your chalk bag, grabbing gear etc.) and the lateral compression straps, are all features that allow maximum comfort while climbing with the BUG on the back.

Excellent little rucksack ideal for short walk, cragging or as a kit bag. Used it more than I thought I would. Well made with lots of features. Great service from Rock + Run and good price too.

Great bag.

Awesome little bad that can pack a lot of stuff. Just the right size for a day at the crag or a day at the beach. Comfortable to wear as it sits high up on your back.

petzl bug bag is perfect

This bag is a awesome lightweight bag for multi pitch climbing! The bag seems to be able to hold all your typical climbing kit, keeping it secure while staying nice and square and comfortable on your back. The bags rope strap is really nice and sturdy keeping your rope tight and neat. When climbing, the bags lightness is really noticed. Compared to other packs I have used they can feel restrictive and obscure when moving around the rock but this Bags strap design and ergonomics are well thought out and you can notice this. Having the gear loops on the pack is nice touch and although I haven’t really used them they are handy. All round the pack is great would 100% recommend it. I have also used the bag for a day bag for hiking and trekking or even running. My only downside to the back is the hydration pouch, while it is useful, but find when you have a camel pack in there and a full bag it makes the bag sit strange on your back and feel overfull.
