Takes some time to break in, maybe 5-6 sessions of more than 2hrs climbing. It is good for smearing as well as some heel work. Good fit for my heel. I normally wear 4. Got this pair for 4.5. It is a bit tight in the beginning but perfectly fit once break in
Picked the up on sale for 69.95. Bit of a punt since I don't usually wear scarpa, but the recent addition of foot shape to the shoe size guide made me think they might work for me since I have longer second than first toes. On the shoe guide advice I also went a euro size Down which is the second most technical fit. At first they felt very tight, took a while to get on and were hard to get off, but loosened up a bit after a few sessions. I think they are a brilliant shoe, really good on steep ground and tiny edges (I bought them for indoor climbing on my moonboard and bouldering outside, mostly on moorland granite).
