Supportive and highly cushioned, the Scarpa Proton XT GTX is ideal for long distance running or regular training, and also makes an excellent lightweight walking shoe. Gore-Tex Invisible Fit technology laminates the waterproof membrane directly to the upper, reducing seams and increasing comfort.

The sole is sticky Vibram Megagrip rubber, with a deep lugged pattern that gives great traction. It's very well cushioned, with a dual density EVA midsole that has two low density Eva cushioning pads for impact absorption, and an ESS insert in the middle offers improved anti-torsion control.

Great shoe, great price, great service

As ever, superb and prompt service from rock and run. The shoes are really comfortable and the size was as expected. They offer good support and excellent traction. Great value as well.

Fantastic shoes

These have to be the most comfortable pair of walking shoes I’ve ever owned. They give you plenty of support and the grip is phenomenal. Would recommend these to anyone.

As good as expected

Excellent so far but I am something of a Scarpa devotee.
