The shape is just right for me. I move about quite a lot while I'm sleeping - mainly switching from one side to the other, occasionally sleeping on my front, rarely sleeping on my back. The pillow morphs slightly according to where the weight of my head goes, but there always seems to be a slight gradient in towards the middle - better than that annoying "rest your head on this football" feeling you get with some inflatable things. It fits nicely inside the hood of my sleeping bags, so it doesn't wander about too much in the night. I get contact dermatitis from some plastics, so I put it inside a small silk pillowcase. That avoids any exposure to the dermatitis without increasing the weight too much, and means you can vary the colour to taste! Also increases flexibility wrt washing. I'm going to Nepal in a couple of weeks, camping for almost a month, and am looking forward to using it there. Experience of this pillow so far has been prep/test for that.
