Developed in collaboration with one of the world’s best climbers, Daniel Woods, this next-generation formula is the result of years of testing, refinement and hands-on development. By combining carefully selected magnesium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide carbonate compounds with a food-grade additive, they’ve created a chalk that's noticeably different from conventional climbing chalk.
The result? A creamier, more adhesive feel as you chalk up, excellent moisture absorption and grip that lasts longer between applications. It’s a subtle difference when you first apply it, but once you feel how it performs on the wall, it’s hard to go back.
What makes it different?
The secret is in the magnesium carbonate compounds and particle structure. One of the compounds has been engineered with an increased surface area, allowing the chalk particles to absorb more oil and moisture from your hands. This helps keep your skin feeling dry when the pressure is on, without constantly having to re-chalk.
The second compound provides the chalk with its distinctive creamy, almost velvety texture. Rather than simply sitting loosely on your skin, it helps the chalk adhere to your hands, as if it becomes almost a part of your skin, and, importantly, provides excellent friction on modern climbing holds, particularly Dual Tex and No Tex surfaces, where finding reliable grip can be challenging.
While the FrictionsLabs range has earned its reputation for dependable performance, this new formula takes things further. The blend of magnesium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide carbonate has been specifically refined to deliver a different feel, improved longevity and enhanced grip.
