The La Sportiva Trango TRK GTX are very robust and light boots ideal for fast paced hikes and multi-day backpacking tours.
Derived from the popular Trango range, La Sportiva have adapted the range to include a boot primarily focused at day hikes and multi day trekking with a full pack. The upper is both water repellent and abrasion resistant, with a wrap around comfort collar which prevents the ingression of stones and mud.
A Gore-Tex performance comfort membrane guarantees that your foot will be able to breathe, whist staying waterproof and the 3D flex technology employed at the ankle area provides excellent support and stability on uneven terrain. Finally, a Vibram sole complete with La Sportiva's Impact Brake System finishes off what is a truly excellent light weight and comfortable trekking boot.

I've got quite mixed feelings about these boots, having been a regular La Sportiva customer for a decade or so. I broke them in on a few mid-length walks (15km or so), then tested them out on a 32km hike. Generally fine, but with some hotspots at the end of the longer hike. I then took them to the Pyrenees for 5 days of hut-to-hut hiking, where I experienced the worst blisters I've ever had - cutting some days short and generally having a fairly tough time of it. Since then, I have put some different insoles in and the shoes have performed better - I've done 30km hikes since without blisters, but they're still not as comfortable as other boots I've owned. I still can't help but feeling that walking in La Sportiva B2s would be more comfortable... Would I buy them again? No. Would they put me off buying other La Sportiva shoes? Again, no.
Really good quality and great for people with narrow heals
