The Climbing Technology Click Up Plus is a lightweight and compact assisted-breaking belay device, designed specifically for indoor and crag climbing.
An evolution of the CLICK UP model, the Climbing Technology Click Up Plus can be used with all dynamic single ropes in the 8.5 to 11mm range. Offering a number of new features, the plus differs from the original version. It is more effective in paying out rope due to the new geometry of the body and carabiner holding layout, it offers more comfortable top rope belays due to the redesigned side plates, and it is safer to use thanks to the new V-proof system that prevents incorrect rope handling.
The V-Proof System reduces the chance of error due to an incorrect reduction of the V-angle between the two strands of the rope. It consists of a mobile partition that facilitates the activation of the assisted-braking system. If during the fall of the climber the hand side of the rope comes into contact with the partition, this pressure contributes to the rotation of the device and to the consequent locking on the rope.

Great bit of kit for sport climbing
Love it! Works really well especially when belaying a heavier climber, a little tricky to master for lead belaying though.
I was greatly disappointed by this compared to the original Click Up (which I love). Yes, this does take fatter ropes but it's much worse for unintentionally locking up, is awkward to release reliably and is jerkier when lowering.
