The Ether Light XR is the thickest and warmest sleeping mat in Sea To Summit's Ultra Light range, due to using the new Thermal Core® insulation and redesigned oval-shaped dot welds. These improvements have allowed STS to produce their lightest, warmest, most durable and compactable ultra-light range of mats resulting in a true four-season performance for backpacking, lightweight camping, bikepacking and sea kayaking.
Thermal Core® -Is a layer (in the Ether Light XR) or multiple layers (in the Ether Light XR Pro) of a reflective film that is suspended between the dot welds of the mat. The film reflects the radiant warmth of the sleeper back to the body and reduces air movement within the mat to a minimum, ensuring effective real-world insulation. Ether Light mats are highly regarded by lightweight, comfort-oriented users. Thermal Core enhances the functionality of these market-leading mats.
