The Boreal Sendai is an all day, every day multi-purpose approach shoe which is comfortable and stylish enough to use every day.
The upper is made from premium quality split leather with a padded and well ventilated PU Air Net lining for breathability and comfort. A PU overlay rand protects the upper from knocks and scrapes.
Sendai features the exceptional Terra outsole, a collaborative development between BOREAL and Michelin. This outsole using the high grip Michelin OCX® rubber compound and rugged tread design provides superb traction in all weathers and has an integrated toe-cap for durability and protection. An extensive climbing zone at the toe provides edging performance on technical terrain, while the TPU piece under the toes and heel provides support and stability.
The HFS is a system of anatomically shaped high quality foam padding which helps to comfortably hold the heel securely whilst accommodating different heel shapes.

Lovely shoe, but so disappointed in the build quality.
Within days started to fall apart and I’ve I had to glue them in so many different places.
As a member of the wider footed tribe I find most approach shoes too narrow - these are not. Very comfortable to wear with good shock absorbency without losing the feel for the ground underfoot. I have used them for scrambling and cycling and they are very good for both. Possibly a little broad and clumpy for more technical climbing.
