Designed for fast & light pursuits in winter conditions, the Nortec Micro Gaiter is the perfect companion for all-mountain runners & walkers.
Developed and tested to stand up to the harshest UK winters & alpine terrain. The Nortec Micro gaiter is made from a waterproof & water-repellent fabric with overlapping membranes to keep out any snow & debris whilst out trail running and hiking.
The Micro Gaiter protects the upper part of the shoe, the ankle and the lower section of the leg from snow, mud and gravel from entering the shoe. So it can be used all year round in poor conditions to keep your feet dry whilst running & hiking, not just in the winter months.
The Gaiter is securely anchored to your shoes via the laces at the front, combined with an inner silicone band and speed lace system that guarantees a solid, secure fit. There is also a Lycra cuff around the top with a velcro closure for added comfort. Lastly, there is fluorescent branding on either side of the gaiters for greater visibility when travelling in poor light conditions.

I was looking for lightweight ankle gaiters and thought I'd give these a try. Unfortunately they don't fit around my ankles nor my shoes. Too tight at the top of the gaiter to the point of cutting off circulation. Maybe I've just got chunky ankles, but they are also really baggy over the trainer's. The clip for the laces are well beyond where the lacing starts and just flaps around uselessly. I'm UK 10 so on the cusp so they might be too big although I wouldn't have a hope fitting then around my ankles. Materials seem good and well put together so they might be great if you have super skinny legs and massive feet.
