Whether it's high intensity via ferrata or hiking excursions in wild mountain environments La Sportiva's Trango Tech Leather Gore-tex is the perfect lightweight, waterproof mountaineering boot. This versatile piece of footwear offers technical functionality and comfort and is ideal for UK mountaineering, technical approach routes, mountain guides, rescuers and alpinists.
Fit: These are low/medium volume boots and we recommend the below sizing depending on your foot.
low-volume feet: We would recommend going half a size up from your street shoe.
Medium/High-volume feet:We would recommend going 1 full Size up from your street shoe.
The uppers offer a clean and modern design, constructed from a single piece of leather - with seams reduced to a minimum to increase the overall waterproofing. It is a product with excellent durability thanks to the use of high quality leather and protective microfiber on the uppers. The shock absorbing polyurethane, low density midsole with protective PU-Skin reduces the impact with the ground and promotes prolonged use of the product while the shock absorbing rubber protection at the toe and heel prevent impacts with rocks and roots.
Like all products in the La Sportive Trango series, the boot adopts the 3D-Flex System that promotes mobility and dynamic support. The tongue integrated in the uppers is made of soft, stretch fabric for maximum comfort, enhanced by the ergonomic shape and snug fit. The La Sportiva Cube sole by Vibram with a lower volume, allows to further reduced the weight for a light and modern backpacking boot.
Use: Summer Walking /Trekking /Summer Alpine / UK Winters

Early days to be reviewing a boot that will all being well last years......... But so far so good - did expect this as was replacing a pair of La Spotivas that lasted 13 years, summited several Alps as well as walked and scrambled around the UK in all weathers.

Don't let crampon bails fool you, these are not for climbing but are super comfy on longer walks. I would say they are a B0.75, not quite a B1. Not as stiff as my Meindl Bhutans, but much more comfortable. Lacing system is great, you can make the upper and lower sections different tightnesses, and they are super light!
