The Lyon Nylon Sling 25mm x 240cm is a good, value for money, thick climbing sling that offers no compromise to strength and handling.
Invaluable for setting up belays, throwing over spikes or wrapping around blocks, these super burly polyamide climbing slings will easily outlast thinner Dyneema tapes.

It works as expected - slightly thicker and heavier than some other 240cm slings but hopefully a little more durable.
So far I've used it to make anchors at the lower offs of a couple of sport routs and it's come in handy at the top of several grit stone trad routes too.
The only down side is that the relatively thick ribbon means that fig-8 knots take up a little more material than might be the case with a thinner dyneema sling. In return I'm hoping that this sling will be a little more abrasion resistant and ultimately last longer - so long as this turns out to be the case I think the trade off is worth it.

6x slings attached to a stretcher (3 each side) via larksfoot hitch (Girth Hitch) enables stretcher bearers to take some of the weight of the stretcher and casualty off of the carrying arm/hand by bringing the sling up the back and over the shoulder (shoulder furthest away from the stretcher) and holding the sling in the non carrying hand. A figure eight stopper knot enables a more secure grip on the sling by the non carrying hand. This way of carrying a stretcher especially over rough/steep ground has to be experienced to fully appreciate the advantages. The stretcher/casualty load is partially carried high on the bearers shoulder rather than just by the carrying arm and hand.
These slings are perfect my uses, because of their thickness and width you get a more confident feel about them, good quality mountain stuff.
Great, it didn't fail thus meaning I didn't die. Would recommend.
