This week’s video is one we've all been waiting for, featuring two climbing athletes that need no introduction. Yes folks, Midtbø has finally collaborated with Alex Honnold and it certainly doesn't disappoint. Climbing’s king of YouTube teams up with Oscar winning Honnold at his local Red Rock Canyon but, this isn’t some run of the mill sport climbing meet-up. Eager to take Magnus on an adventure he’ll never forget, Alex proposes they solo a 200 metre wall comprising of the routes, Myster Z and Armatron (5a).

With nothing but his chalk bag and a pair of Scrapa Veloce’s, Magnus follows Alex up the awesome and equally terrifying Red Rock face. Watching the contrasting comfort levels of the pair is a fascinating perspective on Honnold’s free soloing feats, showing us first hand just how scary these solos are, no matter how strong you or how ‘easy’ the climbing terrain. Of course, this video comes with a DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME warning but I’m sure, after watching, you might think twice about your soloing ambitions. Enjoy!
