The Fixe Margalef rope is a tough, durable, yet light sport climbing rope for on-sight climbing or working projects. It can also be used for indoor climbing. Featuring a Dry treatment that gives it extra protection against humidity and dust, as well as repellency against water, oils and grease.
The Margalef school, in the town of the same name, in the Priorat region (Catalonia), is one of the most frequently visited sport climbing areas in the world. Climbing there runs over a conglomerate dotted with monos and two-finger pockets and other grips where finger strength is usually key. It has routes bolted for all levels and is home to some of the most difficult sports lines in the world, such as "Perfecto Mundo" and iconic routes like "Era Vella" and "First Round First Minute".
Twisted Endurance Construction:A 48-wire braid extends the rope's lifespan and improves handling when compared to a lower braided rope.
This prolongs the life of the rope by more than 60%. (Fixe in-house abrasion testing studies have held up 300% longer than classic strings). Endurance construction gives ropes a nicer feel, greater fluidity, and the ability to withstand 30% more abrasion cycles.
Dry treatment: Water-repellent treatment on the sheath. Provides resistance to oil, grease, and water. Extends the rope’s lifespan.

Have only climbed on it a few times, we'll see how it goes. Initial reaction was that whatever it's treated with made it kinda grabby. It was very hard to belay with on the first use, there was some sort of coating that made it not run through the grigri very well. After a few climbs that seems to have settled down. It's fairly stiff, but gives good catches.
