Sea to Summit UltraLight Insulated Mat

Option: Small

The Sea to Summit UltraLight Insulated Mat is an insulated, super lightweight inflatable camping mat featuring single layer Air Sprung Cell™ technology.

Constructed as a single layer of medium resolution cells, the Air Sprung Cells™ in the Sea to Summit UltraLight Insulated Mat give you the lightest and smallest packed-volume mat without compromising comfort. For the added insulation, Sea to Summit use Exkin® Platinum, a quiet non-woven fabric, to reflect radiant heat loss back to the user and Thermolite® insulation to prevent convective heat loss between your body and the ground.

All Sea to Summit sleeping mats come with a quality stuff sack, a repair kit containing six self adhesive patches for repairing punctures in the field, and a spare silicone one-way valve flap.

Sizing

Length/Width: Small 168 x 55 cm | Regular 183 x 55 cm

Rolled Size: Small Ø9.5 x 23cm | Regular Ø10 x 23cm

Features

  • Exkin Platinum® fabric and Thermolite® insulation are combined to prevent radiant and convective heat loss
  • Multi-function valve for easy inflation, deflation and fine tuning of air pressure
  • 40D rip-stop nylon face fabric offers the right balance between weight and durability
  • Sea to Summit's TPU lamination process - one used in the medical and aeronautical industries but unique to the outdoor industry - is vastly superior to the roll-to-roll lamination process that is commonly used in outdoor products at present. The TPU bonds better and more consistently, virtually eliminating delamination issues.
  • Extended storage instructions: mat should be laid flat, folded as few times as possible with valve open

Cold Weather Game Changer

As a side sleeper I have been a fan of baffle design mats for the last 12-18 months. I find they adjust and equalise better especially if I’m fidgeting in my sleep.

I’ve been using a No R Rating mat and have found nights long and uncomfortable but eventually I took the plunge and invested in this mat.

Side by side you can almost instantly feel the difference the insulation makes. The S2S Ultralight seems to warm up underneath you like a radiator. When you switch to the other mat there is definitely no comparison. My first Wild Camp of the year was at 1 degree and I had a really comfortable night, the only cold spot was when I somehow Magyars to move my feet off the mat. Believe me it’s no gimmick you really can feel the difference.

It’s easy to inflate with the supplied back, deflates quickl and packs back into its stuff sack really easily compared to my other mats.

Really is a fantastic mat and well worth the money for the weight pack size and additional comfort and warmth benefits.
