The MSR Hubba NX tent is a free standing, double wall, lightweight tent for solo outdoor adventures; it also packs down small - so it won't take up much room in your pack.
The Hubba NX solo backpacking tent offers the most livable accommodations in a lightweight freestanding design. Engineered for 3-season camping, the light and compact tent won’t slow you down, whether you’re striking out early to earn solo views along a popular route, or finding your stride on a 10-day trek into the Alaskan wilderness. The tent’s optimised, symmetrical geometry and non-tapered floor maximize space—because you didn’t head out into the backcountry to feel constrained—while other precision-engineered features, from the StayDry™ door to the adaptable, cross-ventilating rainfly, make the tent so livable, you won’t want to come home.

Prompt delivery enabled me to use this tent on my 8 day walk from Berwick upon Tweed to Staithes last week. Little bit sceptical that this tent seems to be first choice for the Instagram brigade and I'm comparing it with my other tents, a Hilleberg and a Terra Nova Southern Cross. It's a cracking tent. Poles are the same diameter as the TR. More robust than expected. Plenty of room in the inner. I can sit up in it properly unlike the other two tents. Good sized porch. Potential downsides are lighter weight groundsheet and higher cut to the flysheet. Flysheet is a little awkward to pitch when breezy but I'll improve with practise. I didn't like the look of the bathtub inner but don't notice this when pitched. No condensation problems. Overall an excellent purchase. I expect this to be my main tent as I continue my sectional walk around the whole of the GB coast. David Williams
