The Scarpa Ribelle Lite HD Men's is a lightweight and comfortable mountaineering boot ideal for technical trekking and alpinism.

Favoured by mountain guides and mountain professionals due to the increased stability, comfort and protection, the Scarpa Ribelle Lite HD boots are the perfect solution for those seeking innovation and lightness in fast and comfortable boots. Built on the innovative last shape used in the Scarpa RIBELLE family of boots, the combination of Sock-Fit XT construction system, the Tech Fabric materials, and the HD® technology are what make the Ribelle Lite HD boot ideal for technical trekking and alpinism.

The Ribelle Lite utilises the Pentax Precision III sole which has a light PU midsole and Vibram® Mont compound on the outsole which provides great traction on all surfaces. The TPU crampon insert on the heel makes it compatible with the use of semi-automatic (C2) crampons while the front part of the sole makes easy for the foot to roll fast off the heel.

What is HD?
Thanks to the HDry® quality standard, the shoes built with this system possess the highest level of waterproofness, breathability and insulation. The waterproof and breathable membrane is firmly laminated to the upper inner side and there are no seams and no gaps where water can penetrate: rain and cold are blocked on the shoe’s outer surface and a large volume of dry air keeps your feet warm and comfortable. The ultra-thin waterproof membrane and the unique lamination method provides a precise fit and keep your shoes dry and light all day.

Main Advantages of HDry® (OutDry Rebranded)

  • The external layer and the membrane are a unique body; no space in between for water to collect.
  • Water penetration and absorbency are minimised so so weight does not increase in the wet.
  • The membrane has a very high capacity of water vapour permeability.
  • There is no seam sealing tape (as with Gore-Tex), enabling HD to exploit 100% of the membrane breathable surface.
  • Keeps a large volume of dry air between the skin and the membrane, reducing the risk of dew condensation.

    Fabulous footwear

My son damaged his foot playing American football, he now climbs and hikes as a hobby. These boots have been a god send, they are light but robust, comfortable and reliable. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone walking or climbing as a hobby.

    Not great

After years of a love affair with Zamberlan Vioz i got talked into a pair of Ribelle Lite. I had been after Vioz 1996 but after Brexit everything is scarce or just unavailable so I opted for a stiffer pair of boots for the Galloway hills where I do my walking these days. They are eye -wateringly expensive, as are all boots at the moment so it was a gamble. I spent a lot of time dog walking in them to break them in and then took them on a few big days on the hill. I put the discomfort down to being used to Vioz, which are like slippers, but after a two hour stiff downhill descent I found they had managed to wreck my right big toe. The laces they come with are woefully short so they needed replacing. £6 up the road. The insoles seem to be from a Christmas cracker so the only way I can try to rescue them is a pair of Superfeet insoles which will set me back another £30-40. That will take me past the £300 mark for a pair of boots I can't love. I realise there are Scarpa lovers out there who love the brand but I'm not converted. On ebay for these and no doubt I'll take a big hit

    Ribelle lite hd

Extremely versatile boots which could cover most hill activities except maybe technical ice. Great comfort and snug support with a good forward flex but lots of lateral support too. Haven’t done really long days in them but I get the impression they’d be pretty forgiving. Resoleable too which makes them a great buy if the waterproof hd laminate last the test of time.

I’ve worn Zamberlan for years but fancied a change and who can resist bright orange boots! I haven’t given them a proper test yet but now I’m used to the stiffness I’m finding them comfortable and light. The laces are too short unless you like your boots so tight there’s no circulation. I’ve ordered some 1.8m laces which will help. Usually it’s the other way round with laces that need tucking away under gaiters. Very happy with Rock43,Run. Great service and I got my boots very quickly.
