Scarpa Quantix SF

The Scarpa Quantix SF is a technical, all-round performance rock climbing shoe developed with the ideal blend of comfort and performance.

Sitting just above Scarpa's entry range of shoes, the Quantix (much like the similarly ranged Veloce shoes) has been designed to offer improving, intermediate climbers the ideal shoe to take their climbing to the next level and established climbers a comfortable all day shoe that still packs a performance punch. Full of innovative tech usually found on Scapra's higher performance models, the Quantix stands out for its Single Frame Technology (hence the name SF) which holds the shoe from below like a hand, encasing the whole of the shoe to boost precision, encourage flexibility and push power towards the toe box. Backed up with a 3/4 length Flexan midsole, there's plenty of support under the hood of the Quantix for edging enthusiasts whilst the subtle downturn of the shoe strikes the perfect fine balance between performance and comfort.

By no means a one trick pony, the Quantix features a full length sole comprised of Vibram's superb XS Grip 2 rubber and, with a streak of Scarpa's stickiest M50 compound over the toe box, is just as capable indoors as it is on real rock. Constructed from vegan friendly synthetic materials with a plush alcantara patch encasing the big toe, the Quantix is an incredibly comfortable shoe. With a medium volume profile and a slightly wider fit at the toe end of the shoe, the Quantix is accessible for a range of different foot types. Round off the shoe is the PAF heel system which should spread the tension across the shoe's heel, easing any tension on the back of your foot or achilles tendon.

Sizing

The Quantix SF is by no means an entry level shoe with a marginally downturned, technical profile so should be sized as such. We'd recommend newer climbers opt for shoe size or slightly larger than your regular street shoe. More advanced climbers familiar with performance fitting shoes may want to downsize from your street shoe to maximise downturn and performance over comfort.
