Maillons

Maillons are a metal link similar to carabiner but without the hinged gate. Instead they have a thread, making them stronger but more fiddly and harder to use.

Maillons are commonly used as protection in rock climbing, caving and rope access, and are a piece of strong safety hardwear. Also known as as quick links, Maillons come in all different shapes and sizes.
