The Deuter Guide 32+6 SL is the pack for experienced female mountaineers who value a comfortable, secure fit and need a durable companion for extended alpine adventures.
This model is the SL version. The SL back length is specific for women: on average, women have shorter backs than men. The carrying system in the SL model is therefore somewhat shorter than in the Deuter standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy.
The Guide 32+6 SL is a classically styled mountaineering day pack with ergonomic shoulder straps, detachable, padded hip fins with gear loops and an adjustable sternum strap. As an SL version of the Guide, this pack has been designed around a female fit with a shorter back, thinner shoulder straps and conical hip fins made to fit the shape of female hips. Built on Deuter's Alpine back system with the new Delrin U-shaped frame integrated to improve stability and distribute load evenly, the Guide 32+6 SL is incredibly comfortable with the perfect comfort-to-weight ratio for any action-packed day out in the hills. When it comes to carrying kit, the Guide 32+6 SL is superb, offering plenty of space in its 32 litre main compartment for a whole day's kit.
But this isn't where the Guide 32+8's capacity ends, with that +6 proving rather handy for the overall usability of the pack. Bulkier than some of the smaller capacity Guides, the 32+6 comes with a fully functional, height-adjustable and removable lid that secures over the top of the bag. This lid comes with its own large zippered pocket for essentials and additional kit. It's the same story with the removable, padded hip belt that comes with its own set of pockets for easy access to phones, GPS devices or snacks. Inside the packs, there's an elasticated compartment to separate off wet clothes and hold a 3L hydration pack. Crucially, much of this additional storage can be removed, meaning the 32+6 SL can be used as a slimmed-down, fast and light day pack or a larger, roomier pack that could be used over long days out or even quick overnight stops.
Carrying comfort and packing conveniences aside, the Guide 32+6 SL is perfectly equipped for every adventure in the mountains and comes packed with all of the necessary attachment points for every climbing, hiking or alpine adventure. Featuring the new J-shaped zip on the front of the pack, the main compartment of this Guide can be accessed from top to bottom easily and efficiently - perfect for accessing your lunch without having to remove a full trad rack. Fully loaded with attachment points for ice axes, docking points on the top or front of the pack for a helmet carrier and a stowable strap over the top of the pack for a rope, the Guide 32+6 SL can do it all. Featuring compression straps down the side of the pack, the Guide can carry camping mats and trekking poles with ease, too, making this the perfect pack to climb, hike and camp all in one!
