Option: New-Classic

If there’s one crampon that has earned its place in the kit bag of British mountaineers, it’s the Grivel G12. From classic winter routes in the Lake District, Wales and the Scottish Highlands to big alpine objectives around the globe, the G12 has built a reputation as one of the most dependable and versatile 12-point crampons ever made.

The Grivel G12 LT takes this legendary design and trims the weight without sacrificing the rugged, confidence-inspiring performance that made the G12 a mountaineering classic. Its proven 12-point steel configuration delivers secure traction across snow, ice and mixed terrain, while the optimised LT construction reduces material thickness to bring the pair down to just 861g.

Designed for classical and technical mountaineering, the G12 LT strikes an excellent balance between stability, durability and weight. The steel frame provides the strength needed for hard winter use, while the front and rear Antibott plates help prevent snow build-up underfoot. With multiple binding options available, including New-Classic, New-Matic, Dual and Cramp-O-Matic Evo, there’s a G12 LT configuration to suit a wide range of compatible mountaineering boots.
