La Sportiva Mantra

The La Sportiva Mantra is an ultra-light slipper style climbing shoe, geared specifically toward mid-high level gym climbers. Suitable for both lead and bouldering, the Mantra provides supreme versatility thanks to its ability to enhance grip and support the foot through hard technical moves and maximise performance. 


An absence of constraints within the Mantras design allows for natural usage of the foot whilst climbing, feeling intuitive and supportive. The upper has been deconstructed and refined, while the rubber edges have been reduced to a minimum for maximum sensitivity and proximity to the climbing surface. A slightly roomier internal volume allows you to easily move your toes both up and down for maximum grip - whether heel hooking or on the tiniest of edges. The Vibram XS Grip2 rubber compound ensures you'll have maximum grip on any type of surface.


Taking advantage of 'no-edge' technology with D-Tech 'dynamic technology' - the Vibram XG Grip sole wraps the shoe laterally to allow the shoe to spread across the shapes of the most advanced holds. Combining the thin 1.8mm sole with a soft and supple shoe creates the opportunity to mould the shoe to your foot almost straight out of the box. Although these features may mean the Mantras are not the most durable - having dedicated this design to mid-high level climbers, La Sportiva has assumed a decent level of footwork skill should be second nature before slipping into the Mantras. 


The Mantra are the recommended choice for mid-high level gym climbers, looking to 'free their mind and send their project'!
