The shoes are good but after only three weeks, one of the laces is already broken. I’ve notice something when I got the shoes but I didn’t imagine that it was going to break to quickly. I was expecting a really hard laces, one of them is perfect but the other ones already broken.
I bought these shoes for sport climbing, most of which I do in North Wales. I've found the edging stability to be phenomenal. These shoes can stick to matchstick edge indefinitely. The only potential downside to their performance is a degree of heel discomfort as tension is transmitted through the length of the foot. This hasn't prevented me from climbing consecutive pitches but for easier multi-pitch I might choose a more forgiving shoe. As well as limestone sport climbing I've also used these shoes on vertical hard sandstone. Once again the edging ability was extremely useful. These aren't the most sensitive shoes so for lower angle grit stone slabs a softer shoe would be preferable, but the Miura is great for exploiting tiny features like pebbles. My street shoe size is usually 43.5 or 44/UK 9 or 9.5. My La Sportiva Cobras which I use for bouldering are a snug 41. I opted for a 42 with the Miura which has worked out great. There is zero dead space but my toes aren't bent to such an extent that I get hotspots on my knuckles (an issue I have with my Cobras after long sessions). The lacing system really allows me to sinch them down when climbing at my limit then loosen them off quickly at the anchor or for easy pitches. I'd recommend this shoe for anybody climbing on a rock type with small footholds who like a reassuringly stable platform. Think limestone or slate. As a dedicated bouldering shoe I would opt for something a bit more sensitive and modern, but I really can't overstate what an excellent sport climbing shoe this is.
